::: What type of cameras do you use?

- Olympus OM-1 (1972)
- Nikon F80 (1999)
- Fuji S3 Pro (2005)

Nevertheless, I'm most aware that the type of camera is by far not the most important ingredient for interesting photography. For that - and other - reasons, I only took some disposable cameras with me on my trip to South Africa at the end of last year. Some results below:

Many people may or may not be celebrating Christmas today. I'm thinking of a French song that proves right every year. It's called "Non, non, rien a changé" and you can find the lyrics here.

Fortunately, there have also been some good things going on over the last year. Take a look at the photo below which hopefully gets some hope and happiness across. South Africa is one of the few countries where people have proved that things CAN be different. The photo was taken with a disposable camera, so don't be bothered about the composition or colours. Just look at the faces and have a nice Christmas day. (Photo (Enlarged version): Cape Town - SA, September 2005)

Bidonville Langa

I'm back home and very happy about it. One of the best things about travelling is learning to appreciate being home! Nevertheless, South Africa and especially the township visits were a worthwhile experience. It resulted in a small photo album named "Cape Town through a plastic lense" due to the fact that I took all the photos with a disposable camera. The one I like most is the one displayed above, showing some inhabitants of the township of Langa (EN: Sun).

What else is new? Nothing much actually. No trips planned for the coming month, I am mostly waiting for my new camera to arrive!
